VP of Account Services - Newton, MA

Garfield Group, a leading Interactive, Branding, and Public Relations agency with a distinguished client roster, is seeking a VP of Account Services to join our award-winning team in Newton, MA.

As an agency, Garfield Group’s core focus is on technology, healthcare and life sciences brands. We offer our clients an integrated “no boundaries” approach to marketing communications – creating online and offline programs that drive measurable results. We have two offices-- Philadelphia (Newtown, PA) and Boston (Newton, MA).

Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development
    • Increase revenue to meet and exceed company goals
    • Manage existing pipeline of opportunities and generate new opportunities within our target categories
    • Market cross-agency, integrated services and products (Branding, PR & Interactive)
  • Client Strategy and Relationship Management
    • Deepen existing and generate new executive-level customer relationships
    • Deepen existing client relationships in terms of services offered and revenue generated
    • consultative marketing services and strategic solutions

    This candidate should be an excellent leader and communicator, able to develop programs that inspire both clients and the Garfield Group team. This role reports to the Managing Director of the Boston office and also partners with the team in our Philadelphia office.

Requirements:

Ideal Candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
  • At least 8-10 years of experience leading marketing communications programs and strategy; agency experience a must with large-scale programs and well-known client brands
  • Strong track record of new business development -- both deepening existing client relationships as well as developing new business
  • Strong consulting and strategy development; able to establish and lead strategic programs
  • Experience working with both B2B and B2C technology, healthcare and life sciences brands; understands the unique audiences and business drivers of these companies
  • Expertise in combining offline (advertising, direct response, public relations) and online (websites, banners, email) programs, and demonstrating measurable results.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and train an account team
