LAMP/PHP/CMS Web Developer - Newtown, PA

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, design and modify web applications
  • Establish, maintain, and manage data integrity
  • Work closely and effectively with interactive team to define, implement and refine features
  • Understand the business implication associated with each project before going into design and development
  • Participate in designing, estimating effort, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, integrating and documenting software
  • Apply generally accepted programming standards and design patterns to software development efforts
  • Refactor and maintain existing code as needed
  • Develop systems to interface and integrate with various vendors and clients
  • Work independently as well as with others and report progress of assigned deliverables to technical and team leads
  • Maintain strong fundamental programming and developer skills with an ability to learn new technologies quickly and efficiently.

Requirements:

  • Professional, high-integrity, reliable, organized, driven and results-oriented
  • Minimum 5 years PHP/CMS Web Development experience in a digital marketing and/or advertising agency environment
  • Experience and understanding of standards including CSS, HTML, and XML
  • BS Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in CMS platform development environments including Joomla, Wordpress, Drupal, Silverstripe, etc.
  • Expert knowledge of and fluency in PHP, Caching, Java SE, MySQL, MS SQL
  • Working ability to maintain legacy code written in VBScript.
  • Expert in cross-platform browser support and SEO techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of Web 2.0 technologies and standards including CSS3 and HTML5.
  • Demonstrated ability in JavaScript, AJAX and jQuery
  • Strong capabilities in both front-end and back-end web-development
  • Experience with version control systems such as Subversion and CVS
  • Previous experience using Eclipse to edit and compile Java code.
  • Understanding of server technologies (Windows, Linux, IIS, Apache, Tomcat) and the HTTP protocol
  • Excellent Web UI skills with a special focus on standards compliance and usability
  • Ability to estimate effort, meet schedule deadlines and track to a project schedule
  • Hands-on experience with Agile development practices
  • Passion for innovation and efficiency: proven track record implementing internal process improvements
  • Ability to build and maintain internal partnerships across all levels and departments, including product, operations, sales, etc
  • Referenced portfolio of projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with Office Software programs, Word, Excel and Outlook/Entourage
  • Experience with Adobe Acrobat, specifically creating editable forms
  • Previous experience with Salesforce and Hubspot a plus
