Sr. Interactive Designer - Newtown, PA

Garfield Group, a leading Interactive, Branding, and Public Relations agency with a distinguished client roster, is seeking a Sr. Interactive Designer to join our award-winning team in Newtown, PA.

Responsibilities:

As an Interactive Art Director, you'll be responsible for creating and refining the creative concepts and organizing the creative resources necessary to accomplish the objectives of assigned projects and clients. We are looking for someone who has innovative interactive experience. You must possess a keen knowledge of branding and interactive, and the creative advantages of the two. In addition, you should be able to develop well-defined and leading-edge online experiences in advertising and Web design. The Interactive Art Director is responsible for maintaining the integrity of design, while ensuring that the creative is strategically on target, on time and on budget.

  • Contributes to strategic solutions with the Creative Director and Account team
  • Establishes a visual aesthetic for the project in keeping with the brand identity
  • Responsible for overseeing the design process on assigned projects
  • Maintains and promotes design consistency of look, tone and feel to assigned projects
  • Leads critiques of work in group and individual sessions
  • Is able to articulate the benefits of the creative approaches, internally and to clients
  • Is able to participate in the development of proposals for sales
  • Must be able to interpret strategic objectives into tactics that a design team can execute
  • Creating design concepts, story boards, sketches, animation and style guides
  • Facilitates / participates in creative brainstorms

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design, Fine Arts or equivalent from an from accredited art/design school, and 5 years of graphic design and/art direction experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory position.
  • Strong design skills that fit brand strategy, and the ability to evaluate work of self and others.
  • Web design, usability, and understanding of information architecture is essential; however, a portfolio of strong design and conceptual work is a key deciding factor.
  • Experience leading large complex projects.
  • Artistic with an eye for detail.
  • A passion for all things digital.
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of design tools common to design, strong typography and Web development, such as HTML, Photoshop, Flash and Illustrator.
