IMS Health NGPS Launch

How do you convince your customers and employees that the world has changed?

We helped IMS Health introduce a new standard for the industry, and, at the same time, deepen their relationships with customers and employees.

Challenge:

IMS Health is the world’s leading provider of pharmaceutical and healthcare intelligence. With the growing influence of specialty products, new distribution channels, generics and managed care, IMS recognized the need to find new ways to measure the market and help their customers effectively navigate a fast-changing industry.

IMS had the answer: Next Generation Prescription Services — a significant enhancement to their core information platform. A monumental investment, NGPS represented new standard of market measurement that delivers more accurate, consistent and rapid reflections of the increasingly complex pharma market. This would allow IMS customers to respond more rapidly to market events than ever before.

Results:

IMS challenged us to come up with an innovative way to welcome the pharmaceutical industry to the next generation. Collaborating on strategy, messaging and an integrated tactical plan, we needed to make sure senior pharma execs understood the tangible business benefits of NGPS.  At the same time, we also wanted to recognize the incredibly hard work that took place over several years inside IMS — honoring the “never satisfied” attitude of the NGPS team.

We developed a comprehensive, multi-tiered internal and external campaign featuring highly targeted direct mail, online and print advertising, and educational website. We also threw a party at IMS Americas HQ highlighted by a video featuring interviews with the IMS team that brought NGPS to life.
